Filtering Raw Bee Wax

I received a heap of raw bee wax from my mother's friend who raises bees himself. It's rare to get it in Hong Kong and I was so excited to learn how to filter it to get pure bee wax.

In fact the wax can be used directly but nobody would like the debris.

Since the container cannot be used again after handling bee wax, I first used a tea can. However, I discovered that it leaked. I then shift to a china soup bowl. Bring it to a double boiler.

Melt the wax until it is completely melted. Check to add water to the boiler if necessary. Never let the wax boil.

Prepare a container and cover it with a cotton cloth and clip well.

Pour the liquid wax into the container.
When cooled, the honey will sink to the bottom and the wax will float.I discovered that the container is too wide. I poured out the honey and reheat the wax and pour it into cupcake paper.

The outcome is beautiful! Surprisingly I got 800g of honey and only 100g of wax.

Wall Organizer

I made this wall organizer for my friend's daughter. I like the PVC zipper bag which is perfect for photos as there is no need for any pins.
